Dropping/stopping naps

At what age did your child go to one nap a day and then stop naps completely and how did you know they were ready?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Dropped his morning nap on his first birthday. He screamed until I gave up and went back downstairs with him and he coped surprisingly well. Stopped napping altogether when he was 2yr3m at Christmas when I was heavily pregnant. Similar thing, he screamed and fought it. It wasn't quite so clear cut though, he still occasionally napped for a while. I don't think he was truly ready yet as he was absolutely knackered in the afternoons for a good few months, but not much I could do about it🤷‍♀️

Dropped naps completely just before DD turned 3; we had about 2 weeks where she just didn’t settle for naps so I decided not to worry about it any more and brought her bedtime a little earlier.
She moved to one nap a day at about 12 months; she was fighting the morning nap and then it meant that a second nap would have been too close to bedtime so we stuck to one

Eldest dropped to one nap at about 14 months and dropped naps altogether at 2y 7m (the week of lockdown one... I was furious but it turned out to be wonderful as she ended up going to bed at 6.15 for a few months!)

Youngest still definitely needs 2 naps and she's 1 next week... I think she'll drop later for both. She's more into her sleep.
