How to get 5 month old to sleep through the night?

My daughter is a week away from being 5 months old & is still not sleeping through the night.

We have a routine, bath, bottle, bed around 7pm. She usually falls asleep fine until around 10pm where she will start to fuss and cry, I've started to let her self soothe as I know she isn't hungry. She will fall back asleep until around 12:30 and from then she fusses every hour or two. I give her a bottle somewhere between 12 and 3pm and then she is fully awake at 5:30/6ish.

When she wakes up fussing she is still in a sleepy state with her eyes shut so I'm not sure why she's wakening up🤔

Do you think that maybe 7pm is too early for bedtime at her age if she is stirring a lot in the morning? Ds started sleeping through the night at around 3 months but we didn't put him down until after his 10pm feed. He had settled himself into a feeding routine of 6, 10, 2, 6, 10, 2 throughout the day/night and then one night he went back to sleep before I could give him the 2am bottle and from then on didn't wake for it! So we were getting from 10pm to 6am solid sleep. She's probably too young to go all the way from 7-6ish? We then gradually brought bedtime forward over the next few months until he was going to bed at 7pm and still sleeping until 6.

Also putting him down at 10 fitted in with the safe sleep guidelines of not leaving them alone to sleep before 6 months as I didn't fancy going to bed at 7 myself!

My dd woke up every hour for 2.5 years. She weaned off breast milk while I was pregnant then slept through.

My 5 month old. Has been sleeping from 7-1am and then 1:05am-8-am since 3 weeks old he's so breastfed.

HOWEVER since last week he's been waking up every 2 hours just feeds back to sleep. And his daytime naps are short, and takes a while to get him down.

So my point is, just roll with it, it will happen. Also try to get her to nap at home, dark dark room, white noise, sit next to her and she might nap longer Wink

Shes waking because she's a baby and that's what they do. And yes, waking every hour or two is also pretty normal as well.

My 2.5yo was awake from 3-5am last night, and my 4yo from 5-5.45

Most babies don't sleep through until at least 2. Many not for several years. Sorry.

I meant 1 (typo). Most don't at 1, many still dont at 2.
