Precocious puberty?

DD is 7 and has started growing pubic hairs. The NHS website says to see the GP if there are signs of puberty this early, but with just a few hairs there currently, should we be waiting longer to see if it ramps up or is just a few early arrivals? For further info, she turned 7 over the summer so is still closer to 7 than 8. She is also a very slight build - I think a heavier weight may affect the onset of periods etc (?), but she is definitely not in this category. I can't remember when my body started changing, but I was a very average 12yo when my periods started (and believe DM was similar), so no family history of it on my side.
In short, am I stressing over nothing, or does this warrant a trip to the GP?

Well, if the NHS website says to see your GP, see your GP.

She has 4, it is a long way from a full set. There are no other signs of puberty beginning. It may well be the norm to get a few hairs early, and it's nothing to worry about. If it was clear cut, I would of course book to see the GP without thinking about it. Appointments are hard to come by at the moment, and I don't want to waste one unnecessarily. Funnily, I thought asking other parents who have some experience in this area might be a good starting point.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be short. I think you should see your GP. I imagine it will just be a phone appointment anyway, at least at first.

If you have e consult send an email to your gp, I suspect they will say watch and wait, I think it's actually within normal range because periods can start from around 8 but worth reassurance. A friend of mine had signs in her dd at 5 and she was referred for tests
