Dressing toddler for bed

Hi mums
My 2.5 year old has complained she is cold the last couple of nights. Now the temperature has dropped, I am wondering what I should dress her in? She currently wears cotton pjs & has a duvet. Last winter she was in a 3,5 tog sleeping bag but she has outgrown it now.
TIA

DS is 3 and has been in cotton all in ones with the feet and a light duvet (and a pile of cuddly toys!).

He often wakes up at about 3am if too cold, but slept right through with these.

I used to put DD in a fleecy all in one over her pyjamas, I think it is a bit frowned on because they might overheat no flipping chance in my draughty house

You can get duvet clips that stop the covers falling off www.amazon.co.uk/Cosy-Grips-Single-Duvet-Clips/dp/B000NC6GPS

And a good old fashioned vest under the pyjamas might help too.

A fleece type blanket under the fitted sheet will also help to keep her warm.

A onesie
Fleece pj's and bed socks

Mine are a little older and they love a hot water bottle in a teddy type cover, bed socks, onesies and fleece pj's. It gets v cold here so I do use the fleece blanket on the mattress protector for extra comfort and warmth.

Mine like a thick duvet rather than layers, but I know layers are supposed to be better. I have thought about a fleece blanket as a top sheet, under their duvets before but I've never actually tried it

My 2 year old has a 4.5 tog duvet and wears normal cotton pyjamas with a vest underneath. As it gets colder I will probably add some kind of light blanket over the top.

I've just added the vest layer and I think it makes a big difference to how warm she feels.

I second Cosy Grips to keep the duvet in place without being restrictive. You can also buy them direct from www.cosygripsuk.co.uk/

Neither of my children keep a duvet on but it doesn’t seem to bother them. DD2 is a similar age to yours and she dictates what she will wear, usually summer pjs. Neither feel the cold at all!

Cosy bed socks are a gamer changer for adults and children who get cold at night
