Mid-sleeper beds

I want to get my almost 6 year old a mid sleeper with storage and a desk to maximise the space in her bedroom. I want it to be sturdy, well made which will last her a number of years. At the same time, I don’t want to be paying over the odds.

Can anyone recommend any brands? I’ve been looking at scallywag as a brand which seems ok if anyone has any experience buying a bed from them. Any others worth looking into?

Julian Bowen ‘Jupiter’ is awesome. I got one second hand for my DD and it is brilliant! Very sturdy, tons of storage room and great fun. DD was 5 when I got it for her and she manages the ladder fine.

My kids also have Julian Bowen ones. Pluto I think. The real benefit of them has been that when we swapped bedrooms around my daughter ended up wanting a normal level bed because she was under some eaves and the Julian Bowen beds are adaptable to be mid sleeper or normal level. So you don’t end up having to buy new bed if you need a change. The furniture that comes with them is great quality and I’ve been really happy with them.

We bought them from Happy Beds.

We got Argos ones several years ago and they're just fine.

Just said I'd chime in. Got one for my older DS to
Much enthusiasm from him. Anyway he ended up HATING it. It was a bit creaky and combined with the big void underneath him he got creeped out and couldn't shake it. Also they are a total balls to change the sheets on, it's pretty much easier to pull the mattress off to do it. The ladders are a bit of a faff too, especially as they get bigger. Biggest regret of my furniture buying life
