Rash/bumps in groin area

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. My 4 month old started having little bumps on her labia majora last week. I use Burts Bee nappy cream but also have Bepanthen and Vaseline nappy cream depending on where baby is being changed. Initially I thought it was nappy rash so got the yellow metanium nappy cream, but I realized her bum area was fine no rash just the labia.

I then thought maybe thrush so used cotton wool and water, gave nappy free time no change. I took pictures each day to see if there is any change but there's none and it isn't getting worse or better.

I ended up taking her to the doctor yesterday and he confirmed no nappy rash, no thrush and no eczema and said it could just be hormonal.

We were using cloth nappies from 4 weeks but because she's such a heavy wetter at night time we've been putting her in pampers harmonie at night since 12 weeks. If she was reacting to pampers it would have started sooner surely? And much sooner if it is a reaction to cloth nappies (they get a double rinse).

For baths I use Atoderm wash and moisturizer no bubble baths. Not sure what else I can think of.
Has anyone had this before? Im assuming it'll probably go away on its own but when? Almost tempted to use hydrocortisone cream but it is not bothering her.
Apologies for the length of the post.

Hey! Our little girl is 6 weeks old and has this, the gp told me it was a by product of the nappy rash but could also be hormonal.. Our little one has spots all over her face too, apparently it is just baby acne x

Thanks so much for your reply @Kirky658. So it is a case of wait and see I guess. Congrats on your new baby.

Not sure if it’s the same as yours but my six month old girl has something similar sounding on and off (the ‘off’ makes me not worry about it so much!). It’s more on the front rather than the back so I don’t think it’s nappy rash.
Intrigued now as we also use cloth nappies in the daytime. What detergent do you use for washing? I have a feeling that if I have a break from cloth the rash doesn’t appear but I would need to check and use disposables for a while to be sure.

@puffasocks we use fairy non bio and a spoon of Bio D sanitiser. Have always used that since we switch to cloth nappies at 4 weeks so I feel it isn't the cloth nappy. Never had this before with the other two and we used cloth nappies as well.
Yes it is more at the front little bumps no rash on the back.

@puffasocks if you're trying disposable nappy don't use pampers. We were using pampers pure which I think is supposed to be gentle tho great no leaks. Then I switched to aldi eco but the poo containment is quite bad. I can't go back to Naty as I heard the containment is quite bad at this age and when we used the newborn nappy this time they were terrible.

@mishmased thanks. I use Ariel and wondered if I should use non-bio so I might try that. Hopefully it’s a hormonal thing as mentioned above and nothing to worry about!
