My toddler’s diet is terrible

We’re currently on holiday at a hotel and my 16mo toddler’s diet has gone to pot. He’s not keen on most of the food where we’re staying so has been grazing on the same cold pasta dish, fries and toast for most of the week, along with fruit. I hate that he’s eating such a poor diet and just want to get home again so I can make him his usual healthy home cooked food. Any advice?

Don't beat yourself up! If he eats healthily most of the time and is just having a blip while on holiday it's not going to hurt him! Plus he's having fruit so it's not all bad.

OP, for what it's worth:

You are on holiday. It's fine for your toddler's diet to be a bit more rubbish than usual. Before long, you will be home and he will be back to normal.

If you go on to have more than one child, you will barely notice what they are eating, especially for a week, so long as they are ok and alive.

It's only a week and he will not come to any harm. Relax and you can cook him nice things when you get home.

Advice - chill. Holiday is a huge change for a toddler so they find comfort in the familiar and predictable. DD had pain au chocolat for breakfast, and chips and icecream for lunch AND dinner, when we went to Ibiza. When we got home she returned to her usual varied healthy diet with no ill effect whatsoever. It will be fine.

My toddler is an extremely fussy eater and eats crap most of the time. A week of not so perfect food won't do any harm in the long run. Try not to stress and enjoy your holiday.

On holiday is fine. Pizza and chips… yup. Fish and chips… yup. My son (2.5) loves a beige dinner now and if I’m knackered from work he’ll have chips/pizza no green stuff. Then other days he’ll have a dinner with loads of veg. It all works itself out.
Is there any way of getting him some fish? Not in batter but white fish and some veg? Bananas? Porridge?

He'll be fine, he's on holiday so can eat what he likes.

On our last holiday my DS ate:

Chips
Pancakes
Watermelon
Apple

On repeat for 2 weeks. Carb, carb, carb carb.

I don't really understand what advice you're asking for.
You have already identified the problem and the solution.I

Try to steer him to healthy foods? You already know that.
