Mixing milks is it ok?

My baby girl has kendamil milk but unfortunately they don’t do pre made milk yet (contacted them and due to the recipe and having no palm oil etc in they say it’s difficult to manufacture) but it is something they’re looking into doing.

Anyway back to my original point. When we’re out on the go it’s difficult to make her up a bottle as her feeding times are still a little unpredictable for a number of reasons. So I was considering purchasing som Hipp organic premade bottles purely to use when out and about when needed. Which won’t be very often.

Just wondering if anyone has/does do this and had it caused any issues for your little ones stomach wise?

NHS Website seems to say there not evidence either way of it causing issues.

It can cause upset tummies and constipation.
You can make bottles in advance, assuming she'll take at any temp if your wanting to use pre made?

I would just make the bottles in advance. You might risk upsetting her tummy

I combi fed by bottle breast milk and used hipp organic. If there was none available at my local shop I used sma, never noticed any problems switching between the two.
For context dd is 14 weeks, we used the ready mixed milk alongside breast milk for first 6 weeks until I started using powder formula which is always hipp organic.

Take a flask of boiled water and some powder out with you or make them up ahead. I ended up with a very constipated baby using 2 types of formula

I mixed fed and just gave whatever ready made bottle was available and never had a problem. They're basically all the same.

Not mixing milk is pretty much a formula company myth to keep you brand loyal (obv some babies have a strong preference for a particular taste if it's what they're used to).

They don't advise to mix milk. Mine is on special milk too so I either used to make a bottle up, cool it down and pack it in a thermal bottle holder with reusable ice cubes if I was going somewhere I could heat it, or take a flask with boiling water, a tub with powder and one of the tommee tippee flasks with ice water and the tub. Make up the bottle with boiling water and cool it down in a tub of ice water. Sounds like a faf, but it actually it's much easier just having everything you need.

You can make the bottle with just water and take the powder to add to it in a little tub

My very nearly 8 month old is now on Kendamil after I stopped BF'ing, and she has bottles of ready made cow and gate when we are out and about. She has been fine!

The regulations on formula milk are so tightly controlled there really is very little difference between them. I used SMA pro for tinned stuff generally but then a mix of SMA pro, SMA little steps, Aptamil for premade (whatever was cheapest and most convenient!)

My DS2 is now 14 weeks old, and since birth he used cow and gate ready made bottles (well whilst he was in hospital) then switched to aldi's mamia when we got home later that day (advised by the midwife as aldi don't so premade) now we do the same mamias when at home and cow and gate whenever we go out, he's never had a problem, and like the HV said to me there pretty much all the same anyways, I always asked the MW and HV and none said it would be a problem x
