My daughter hit her head

We're staying away from home and put her on our bed turned away to plug my phone in to charge and heard a thud. She rolled off the bed and hit the back of her head on a partition wall. She's 7 months.

She did cry for a minute, she seems ok.

Are we ok to let her go to sleep or should I be keeping her up to watch her?

I feel really terrible that I looked away

How high was the bed? Is there a bump? It’s a tricky one, I’m sure she’ll be fine but if if my DS hit his head from a height I’d probably want him checked over. I know it’s so hard when they hurt themselves but it’s so easily done, try not to beat yourself up. Xxx

Give 111 a call, OP. This will help put your mind at rest. They will probably ask you if she has vomited as this can happen after a knock to the head. If just once, it's usually not a problem though. Any more than once and she'd need checking out. Sounds like this hasn't happened anyway though. Is her behaviour the same as normal? Im sure she's fine, but as I say, calling 111 is a good idea.

I wasn't there so I can't advise, but my son rolled off the bed at a similar age. Unfortunately I didn't learn and it happened again with my second child. My second son is accident prone and always seems to be banging head somewhere. If you ring 111 they'll tell you to go to a and e. You need to make that judgement call yourself, but I've read loads of stuff on the net for signs and symptoms and I've normally made the judgement call not to go to a and e
