Daughter not eating breakfast

My daughter has just started reception but won’t eat in the morning! I’ve tried various options but she refuses all of them, no problems eating when she’s at home, I hate the thought of her in school hungry and not eating till lunch time but I’m not sure what else I can do! It’s always left untouched, Does anyone else’s child not like to eat in the mornings and what do you do to encourage them?

Would she drink a hot chocolate in the morning Made with whole milk? Half a pint of milk would be better than nothing.

Is a breakfast bar like a nutri grain an option?

Or and I hate to say it but something like a pop tart an option?

I understand not being a breakfast eater - I never ate breakfast even from being a small child. I do try to encourage my DC but my 3yo isn't keen. She will graze on dry cereal or have a cereal bar.

The thing about morning snack is mad! Even if it's for older children. I ate morning snack all the way through school and high school and was still hungry at lunchtime.

If she’s not eating breakfast and is eating a decent lunch perhaps she’s one of those kids that just doesn’t need it? If she was starving would she eat?

Most schools give fruit at morning playtime, also DS3's school let him take a cereal bar in his bag and put his hand up when he's hungry.

Get her up a bit earlier.

Give her something very light

Smoothie / fruit juice / yogurt / piece of fruit / glass of milk

I have always struggle with worrying about my DS and does he eat enough, but a child not having any breakfast is really not the end of the world, they say you should look over the full days food intake.

I say this as someone myself who worries if my DS doesn't fancy his breakfast, but truly try not to worry as others have said, he will eat if hungry Thanks
