I'd give something bland like a piece of toast and have a pj day.

Hi, my LO had a stomach bug at about 15 months old not long ago. First time being sick too. He wouldn’t eat anything, he only ever has water but I let him have squash after. He did sip it. Milk he went off and water. He didn’t have LOADS of squash though as he was off food and drink, he was fine though in the end. He was off food and drink for a few days though. Just keep offering anything he will drink. Milk could irritate his stomach but if he hasn’t been sick for a while now it should be ok in smaller doses. Dry foods too, plain biscuits, toast, banana. Etc

Hope he is ok! I know how horrible it is! x

Dairy is not great when they have a tummy bug so yoghurt is not a good idea. The usual milk should of course be offered. Things like banana, plain toast or plain pasta are good. Sometimes when mine are sick though they can’t keep anything down, even water comes straight back up. So dioralyte can be a good option. I’m not sure what the box says in terms of what age to give it from, but we were recommended that by our GP when our eldest had her first stomach bug at 11 months and she couldn’t keep anything down, including breast milk. You can give it to them in the little dispensers that come with Calpol in 5 mL doses every 15 minutes or so. It helps keep the fluids and the stuff they need at the right level and with those small doses they tend to be able to keep it down.
