Moving babies into own room?!

My ds is 8 months old on the weekend. He is still in with us. When did you all move babies into their own rooms? And any tips?

I moved our little girl when she was 6 months old. I was waaaay more bothered by it than she was!

My tip would be to not make a big deal of it in front of your little one and to follow any existing bedtime routine as normal.

2 years for DC1 1 year for DC2. I was still going in and out 18 months later so should have just kept him in with us!

6 months when he was far too big for the Next2Me, he didn't bat an eyelid!

Obviously I was forever checking the monitor if he was breathing, but he was absolutely fine and think he enjoyed the extra space!

No tips really because it was quite straightforward, just usual night time routine but put him down in the cot

6 months for both of mine. We used to keep disturbing each other all night with the next 2 me, and they slept much better in their own rooms.

I watched the monitors constantly until I got used to it though.

Just before 2 yrs and we stayed with them at first.

6 months for us… practiced daytime naps in there for about a week and played in the room as much as possible so it wasn’t a scary or unusual place.

6 months. Best thing we did for her and for my DH and I.
She sleeps so much better and we sleep better. She loves the space.
Nap her in there first then transition.
Babies need their own space. As they get older they don’t sleep as soundly as a newborn, therefore inevitably you are disturbing the baby at nighttime.
