Hi Mumsnetters!

Just wondering, what do you think is the single most useful thing you bought for your baby/child?

I’ll start - a feeding pillow! Absolute godsend and useful no mattter how you are feeding baby!

Moses basket, DD still uses it during the day so I can get things done (3 months).

Next to me cot is great, I can pop her dummy back in sending her off to sleep for a few more hours.

Angelcare bath seat.

Chicco 4 in 1 hug air crib - turns into crib, high chair, chair, musical noises fast for playing and lullaby's for sleeping, sensory teddy's, sensory lights - so perfect from newborn and lasts until 3yo saved on so many different things we needed to buy

Every baby is so different I think everyone’s essentials are different! I had a feeding pillow, baby carrier, bouncer and a sling but didn’t get much use out of any of them. I was gifted a swing Seat, didn’t think I’d ever use it but my little one loved it! The next to me was amazing too. Mine is a floorbed instead of a cot - we started doing naps in it at 4 months and she’s now in her own room at 6 months and loves it. It’s not raised so it’s safe for her and means I can feed her to sleep and then just roll away without transferring her and waking her up!

Large 120x120 cm muslin squares - used as swaddle, burp cloths, blankets, covers while bf

Haaka type collectors for letdown milk - manage to collect a full bag of milk in a day without any effort pumping

Not directly for the baby, but saving enough money for maternity leave that I could buy in M&S ready made sandwiches & food saved my sanity Grin
