Would you keep pushing this with doctor?

I took my toddler to the doctor about 6 weeks ago as he had been randomly bursting into sudden tears, grabbing his stomach and saying owwy tummy for a week or so. They gave him a once over and did a urine test and everything was fine and they sent us on our way. He is still doing it though, sometimes he'll go a day or so without doing it but he's done it a few times today. Would you keep pushing this at the doctors?

Yes, could be allergies or something

Definitely. There can be all sorts of reasons for stomach pains, it’s gone on for weeks now so it needs to be investigated. He can get help himself so he needs you to be his advocate.

Yes, I probably would. Check it’s not appendicitis etc.

I would also monitor the event - is there something triggering these events. Perhaps keep a diary of his food to see if it’s food related. Could it be attention seeking - he learnt that a pretend tummy ache will get a reaction from you. Is he worried about something, and the tummy ache is how it’s manifesting itself?

The doctor suggested he's likely just doing it for a reaction but I don't think he is, he isn't getting a huge fuss for it or anything rewarding enough to keep it up and he is genuinely upset when it happens although it passes quick. I'll try get an appointment Tuesday, thanks, it's been playing on mind.
