Trying to work out how much milk and food my 8.5 month old boy needs. He's always been a bit chunky; not huge but healthy appetite.
He has 7oz milk at 7am and porridge at 8am.
He is then offered 7oz milk at 10am.
He will have lunch at 12-12:30 (depending oN Nap) (size of Ella's kitchen 7+ month pouch) he will eat all of this plus a little yoghurt.
He is then offered 7oz milk at 3pm and a small tea at 4:30 often little pudding and fruit then bedtime milk 7oz at 7pm.
The problem I'm finding is that he is often quite sicky before bedtime. Is he having to much? Or is it just because he is having a mad hour as he's tired and he makes himself sick?
If anyone else can share their baby's milk and food intake for an 8 month old - I would be grateful to compare.

Many thanks x

My DD was having similar at that age (6oz bottles though) but she was quite sicky in the evening and then started refusing the bedtime feed so I dropped the mid-morning feed. She was having milk at 7, 11, 3 and 7 so I dropped the 11 feed and moved the 3 feed to 1:30 before her afternoon nap.

My DS is 9 months and also a sicky/reflux baby. He recently started to drink very little of our 11am bottle and then not much lunch so we dropped a bottle. So he has milk around 6.30am, 2.30am and 6.30pm. We give tea around 5ish and do finger food with cheese, toast, banana etc and we do a bigger lunch with pudding. If he is drinking most of his milk I would just carry on the way you are and he will tell you when it is time to stop the milk. My DS can also be quite sicky before bed too xx

My son is 8.5 months and had horrific reflux which he has thankfully mostly grown out of.

He is breastfed at 6:30am then has weetabix / porridge and fruit for breakfast at 7:30am.

He has another breastfeed at around 9:30.

Breastfeed at around 12:30, lunch at 1:30. Lunch is usually pasta / sheperdess pie / curry / daal / stew etc, plus some fruit or chopped veggies and some yoghurt.

Breastfeed at around 5pm then a light supper at 6 (something like beans or scrambled egg on toast / a sandwich / pita and hummus / pancakes). He usually doesn’t have much appetite for supper, and if he’s very tired I just leave it.

Upstairs for bath at 6:30 then in bed for 7.
