First, I need to apologise that i'm using disposable nappies - everyone in this topic seems to be using reusables, but i'm just not confident/organised enough yet - i do want to try but just not yet - there! got that off my chest so feel a bit better...

My prob is that i'm using pampers night nappies for my 5mo DS. He goes to bed at around 6:30, i feed him at 11 and he sleeps through until 6 or 7. He's in the same nappy all night but is usually wet through in the morning. i'm running out of sheets and grobags to change him every day and also feel guilty for making him wet. Last night I changed him at 11 and he was dry this morning, but had a very disturbed night. He is wonderful at nighttimes and sleeps brilliantly so I don't want to upset his sleep by changing him at 11, but don't want him swimming in wee either - what can I do???

what size are you using and are you using the biggest size for your lo's weight? e.g. my lo is around 28lbs so could fit into (in theory!) size 4, 4+ and size 5. I use size 5 as it goes from 24lbs and will be more absorbant than the smaller sizes. I have also found that Tesco Baby Essentials Ultra dry nappies for day and night use are quite good for keeping my ds dry at night. Again I use their size 5 as it is also from 24lbs.

hmm - hadn't thought about the size - just used the same as the day nappies, but it makes sense that the bigger ones will be more absorbent, and he's bang in the middle of the weight suggestions, so will probably be able to fit the next size up. I'm off to the shops tomorrow to get the next size up and will also try the Tesco nappies. Thanks so much for the suggestions I'll let you know how I get on...

Try putting two nappies on, one on top of the other, I used to do this with dd! Found the tescos nappies useless though, asda are ok and find huggies better than pampers but yours is a ds, and they are all different so try different brands. Or use a reusable nappy wrap over the top of your disposable nappy, I did this for dd too.
