Where to take toddler and baby on rainy days

Hi All, I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old. I'm dreading the winter as we are in a small flat with no garden. I have to take my 2 year old out for at least half the day or we all go crazy 🤪. Where do you mumas of toddlers and babies take your kids during bad weather? 2 year old doesn't mind it, but it's hard to be getting soaked or cold with a baby. We have some stay and plays, but they only last an hour and soft play is tricky with both kids as toddler gets stuck.

Thank you :)

I used to go to a soft play my Eldest was happy to play in on his own.

Or visit my mum.

Is there is cinema nearby doing a kids morning showing? Then you can take the baby in too.

We often go to the local indoor trampoline park for toddler sessions. Always lots of mums carrying small babies in slings with their toddlers running off energy.

Museums and art galleries often do toddler mornings - if you include the bus ride and a picnic lunch that can take up a good chunk of time.
Do you have any woodland areas nearby? You never seem to get so wet under the trees when it's raining and toddlers love exploring logs, collecting leaves etc. Invest in some good waterproofs and wellies for everyone.

Soft play, with baby in a sling means you can still run round after your toddler. Seriously, do it now as in a year it two it'll be incredibly difficult to supervise both as they run in different directions. Make the most of it with a non mobile baby! But not in school holidays when the place is feral with older children.

Aquarium here. Is there one near you? The trip there, actually spending time there and getting back takes a good amount of time.

Library for story time.
Toddler group especially those at a local church where there are lovely ladies to be extra hands.
Farms or other attractions where you can buy an annual pass or they have a 'special' one morning s week.
Galleries and museums etc often have a toddler event or room that is set up for little ones.
Events at children's centres.
Invest in a puddle suit and decent outdoor gear for yourself.

At that age,

Stay and plays
Local shopping centre
Play cafes
Soft play
Brave it in the park (lockdown)
