Toddler always kicking me. How do I deal with it calmly?

I have B/G twins who will be three in two weeks.

DS has recently developed a habit of kicking me when he is annoyed/having a tantrum. He will lie on his back within reach of me and just kick and kick. If I move out of his way (for example go to end of couch) he will follow me and continue. He's also started doing it a lot at bedtime. They sleep in toddler beds pushed together and I lie between them until they are asleep. He will twist sideways and kick a d kick at my ribs and sometimes head.

I find it really triggering and I'm.struggling to keep my temper with him. However if I raise my voice he just laughs! I ended up putting him in his room for a few minutes tonight as I was really starting to get annoyed. Then he screams for mummy and I feel awfulSad

I'm a lone parent, so nobody else around to assist. Really need some advice please.

Every single time he kicks...even ONE kick, walk away from him. Or put him in an isolated spot away from you for a minute or two.

Don't speak or engage to him.

Say NO kicking in a firm voice and then remove yourself or him. He'll learn that kicking doesn't get attention but the opposite.

Try to stop the lying between them thing...it will go on and on if you don't nip it in the bud. Not fun when you're being kicked and not fun when the kids are 7 and you just want to chill!

If he screams for Mummy it's because he's affected by being alone. And that's fine since he's been kicking you. It won't fly when he's older so you have to stop it.

DS went through a kicking phase recently. I used to just say no really firmly and threaten a time out (I do them in a travel cot he can’t escape from). He hates them and so stopped fairly quickly.
