Weaning 6/7 month old - how much food should he be having?

Been giving puree's once a day every second day from when he was 5 months, gradually went to once every day after 6 months and working towards twice a day but how do you know how much to give in terms of portions? He drinks his milk just aa much as he did before 6/7 ounces every 4ish hours. And wakes up once at night for about 4 ounce.

Any advice? Tips? Experiences?

How much are you offering?
You dont need to restrict to purees either so you should offer some finger foods too
You can give a variety of food and not just give fruit and veg as well

I aimed for 3 meals a day by 7 months ish. Doesn't matter how much or how little. There are no set portion sizes as every baby is different. Just provide a few bits and you'll get a feel for how hungry baby is. Do you have any weaning books? They helped me with easy recipe ideas.

From 7 months my baby had two meals a day - breakfast of porridge / weetabix / toast / fruit and yoghurt / scrambled egg, and lunch which was usually pasta / curry / shepherdess pie / stew / fritters / beans on toast etc. I let him eat as much as he wants. At this age they’re very good at regulating their own appetites.

He’s now 8 months and I’ve introduced a light evening meal of toast / pancakes / savoury muffin / scrambled egg etc.

He has 4/5 feeds a day (not sure how much milk that is as he is EBF).

At that age I used those gu pudding ramekins size wise. Porridge probably only 1/4-1/2 a pot at first. Then some finger food to try. Raspberries or bananas were good first fruits to let them try whole.
