Anyone had any experience with pollakiuria? Think my 3 year old has it and it’s so stressful on the toilet all the time and nothing coming out, daughter tested and no urinary infection or problem with kidneys

Oh god, my 3yr old did this a few weeks back. It was awful. Like 40 times a day for a week! We tried ignoring it and no commenting either way but that was really hard as he kept telling us he was going to the loo and shouting louder and louder until we responded.

In the end, a nursery worker seemed to crack it. She didnt tell him he couldn’t go but showed him the clock and said “let try to wait until the big hand is on the 10” or whatever and a couple of days of encouraging him to wait a bit longer and not go every time he got the urge seemed to sort it out. It’s really stressful though.

Also, have you treated for constipation? DS1 also had a spate of wee accidents which was unusual for him and it turned out to be constipation (even though he was still pooping and not obviously constipated). Some lactulose for a few weeks sorted him out. So constipation is definitely worth considering as the full bowel can press on the bladder.
