Furniture polish and newborn

Feeling really down and stressed and need some reassurance. As per my other thread, my uncle yesterday sprayed furniture polish right next to 3 week old DS's face (sprayed coffee table and he was at end of it in low moses basket). I'm so conscious about fumes and chemicals and am 1) livid and 2) so concerned about how dangerous this could be. The polish was mine, but really old, and I'm beating myself up about still having it in the house. How would I know if he inhaled too much of it?

I am certain he will be fine. I expect most people polish their homes and if it was an issue it would have been flagged up long ago.

I would say it’s a good sign it’s been a day and baby seems fine.

If it’s song you that much anxiety I would suggest calling GP for reassurance or a check up?

Unless it was sprayed on the baby this is a non issue. It’s not going to do anymore harm than walking down the road next to
traffic.

My Aunt seems to think it basically was on him Sad

Honestly it would have had to have been sprayed on purpose right into his nose, mouth and eyes for there to be any issue. Spraying it onto a table nearby and a little landing on him will not have harmed him. Please try and relax.

He will be fine.
