Calpol after 12 week jabs for crying?

My daughter is going crazy after her 12 week jabs this morning. She is crying and crying with a kind of shouty screamy cry and nothing will settle her. She is never like this normally. I've managed to get her to sleep a couple of times but she wakes up after a short nap just as upset.

She doesn't have a fever so I don't know if she is crying because she is in pain. Am I supposed to give her calpol? (Last time she vomited the calpol so getting the calpol into her was as traumatic as the fever itself). How do I know if she is in pain and needs calpol or if she was just upset by the jabs?

She might just be aching if no temperature. My little one was really upset with this a few weeks ago, you’ve probably already tried everything but a bath helped and we went for a walk because he loves being in the pram and it distracted him. I think when they sleep their limbs aren’t moving so much and then they get a shock when they move and it’s painful.
For us it only lasted a few hours, we didn’t give calpol so not sure if this would help.

Thanks @Daisy4569 yes I've tried everything she is asleep in a sling on me at the moment but she shouts if I sit down (starting to hurt the old back 😂) . I am going to try a bath together with her when my partner gets home as that usually calms her. Thanks for sharing your experience. Xx

I'd give Calpol. If I was in pain or discomfort, I'd take paracetamol so I use the same logic with my kids. It's not going to do any harm.

Best tip is to put the syringe down the side of the cheek, dispense a bit then blow on babies face and it makes them automatically swallow.

Yes I would give calpol, she might just be feeling a bit rubbish. Second the put it in their cheek and blow on their face trick!

All of this exactly!

Ok thank you! When she wakes up I'll do calpol. I learned about the trick already but the issue with my daughter is that she has an overactive gag reflex and is also a keen vomiter the poor thing. Makes for an explosive combination.

My back! The moment I even think about sitting down she wails. How does she know??!!
