My little one comes up in this hive looking things every now and again. She's only on formula at the moment so not a good allergy. She has a chest infection and I have read that hives can me linked to infections. Have anyone had/seen similar? Once they are appear they grow in size then disappear within ten minutes or so. I'm trying not to worry as they don't seem to bother her but they look so angry. Pic with the small hive is when it first appeared and second is 6 minutes later.

Did it first appear during the feed? Are they regular after feeding? If so I would investigate cows milk allergy.

She needs to see a doctor, if this is a milk (or formula ingredient) allergy you need to know ASAP.

Are you giving her Calpol/Nurofen?

They appear at anytime. At first i thought it was when she was hot. She's on formula atm and has been for a while. They've only just started.

I had mentioned this to the doctor before as we have had trouble with her digestion since forever. Her answer was "if it's an allergy she's had diarhea"

These hives have only been the last 2 weeks or so. She's had a chest infection for 3 weeks which the doctor wouldn't treat with anti biotic initial because she was to young - I've been back in the last few days and got a course.

Unfortunately your doctor is wrong about there needing to be diarrhoea for it to be an allergy.

I would suggest keeping a very clear diary of everything she ingests (formula, meds) and anything her skin comes into contact with (bath and hair products, creams etc) and any hives or other allergy signs. This will make it much easier if it does continue and you need to see an allergy clinic.
