Teething - is this normal!? I'm going crazy!

So DD has been teething since Tuesday. The tooth has started to cut through as I can feel it if I rub my fingers along her gums.

I have literally had hardly any sleep since Tuesday I feel like a zombie and I just want to cry!' DD is normally an amazing sleeping but since teething she will scream and scream and scream every damn night!! Last night she didn't go to sleep until 2am! Because her night time routine is shot to shit it's had a negative effect on her day time routine too. Is it normal that it's been going on for this long!? I've also had to end up co sleeping and she will scream her head off if I put her in the cot. I've given her every bloody drug imaginable and still it's like she's in so much pain! To the point where I don't know if it's normal for her to be this distressed! I've even contemplated taking her to A&E!!

She's also gone off her food and liquids to the point where she now also has some dehydration! I literally have to pin her down and force her to drink water!

I'm so done in! Has anyone else experienced this!?

How old is she? A young baby showing signs of dehydration should be checked over by a medical professional really. Teething can be very distressing for them but it could be something else alongside.

No, that's not normal with teething.

How do you know she's dehydrated, from her nappies? How much milk has she had? How old is she?

@careerchangeperhaps we had a doctor check her over today and confirm she has slight dehydration. Nothing that needs hospitalisation but we need to make sure she's drinking enough fluids. She doesn't want ANYTHING going into her mouth. Even when I put my finger in there to put something on her gums she will literally scream her head off!

I feel like she's reacting really badly to this tooth!

Anbesol liquid (not the gel) will provide good relief before food/milk. Alternating Calpol and nurofen works best. Cold teethers help too. Can you make ice lollies out of water/fruit to give her some hydration, will she eat those?

My DD suffered similar with her first tooth, it was awful. If it’s any consolation she cut her next 2 without me even noticing.
