What to do with 3 year old?

Hi all! First post here.

My partner has just received notification that he must self isolate after his barber (who he visited on Friday just gone) tested positive for COVID-19 today. That means I also have to self isolate and so does our 3 year old son.

My question is, I’m so used to taking my son out for walks and rides on his bike that I’m really not sure how I can entertain him indoors for at least 10 days? If any of you have any ideas, please enlighten me! Also, send lots of wine Wine

Contacts of contacts don’t need to isolate so you and your son don’t need to unless your partner starts showing symptoms or tests positive.

If you do end up needing to self isolate or you want to? Check out Five Minute Mum. She has an Instagram account, a couple of books and website with loads of ideas for games for children approx age 1-7

But you and your son don’t have to isolate? Unless you also went to the same barber?

@IDontDrinkTea hm, maybe I read the NHS website wrong. I’m not very good at interpreting written things Blush

You don't have to, otherwise where would it end?

FATEdestiny · 18/07/2021 18:36

Just your DH has to self isolate.

You go about life as normal with your son

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 18/07/2021 18:37

You are reading the website wrong. Only your partner needs to isolate.
If you partner gets symptoms /tests positive then the whole house would need to isolate.

As above, just your partner needs to isolate, not you or you child. If he gets symptoms/tests positive, then you obviously do. But you a free to go about life until then!

If your partner tests positive and you DO need to isolate, you know you can go in the garden?
A paddling pool will keep him amused for hours.
