The last three months seem to have been never ending illnesses for DS (18months). Latest is norovirus and just recovering- last vomit yesterday lunchtime (touchwood). DD is 4 months, doesn’t sleep well at night and has an awful rasping cough and loose stools though feeding ok. I feel grim and knackered and am 40 so no spring chicken. Other half is working. It’s going to be hot….

Please send virtual cups of tea, pom poms and ideas !!! DS gets bored of TV in about 10 mins and is a force of nature Confused

Do you have a garden? If so set up in a shady area. Big pots of water, some jugs. Your 18 month old will splash/pour/splash again for hours and the baby can watch/feed/nap while you just enjoy sitting outside.

Shameless bump! We’ve had a buggy walk, garden won’t be shady till later pm…. It’s hot, baby cranky and taking ages to feed and toddler bored! Gin

Put some of the toddlers toys in Tupperware, fill with water, put in freezer. Then once frozen give them to him with a toy hammer or something to free the toys.

On really hot days I often give my kids baths actually then let them run around naked for a while to dry off.
