Changing sheets

Hello
My 3 week old spits up as soon as I lay him in bed - doesn’t matter how long I leave him to burp, settle etc.
This means I’m changing his sheets2 times in night .. which is pretty exhausting on top of the feeds - do I need to change it each time? Ifso, any tips on how I can make this easier?
Thanks!!!

I always lay a muslin under their head - tucked in tight and flat. Meant I could just whip it out and put a new one under each time, instead of a full sheet change :)

Nah - mine is a crazy nsant fountain of little voms. I'd be changing sheets every 10min. Just do it in the morning!

My baby had reflux. I would never have done anything but change sheets if I changed them every time! I only bothered if they were properly wet, a little patch just got left to dry. I also used giant muslins tucked firmly under the mattress like an extra sheet so I could just whip them off and leave a clean sheet underneath if he was sick.

This is how I feel - constant sheet changing! I’ll try a muslin out tomorrow night and see if that works for us. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I was also going to say muslin or easy wipe sheets but they may not be so comfortable

I used an adult pillowcase tucked in tightly.

agree with pp - muslin underneath or a quick wipe if it's just a bit.

Also, if you're not already, double up on the sheets so have a waterproof liner then a sheet then another liner and sheet, that way you just whip off the wet/dirty sheet and have a fresh set underneath, makes night changes much easier and quicker.

Buy a wedgehog as soon as you can, or slightly raise the head end of the cot - I put books under the feet. It really helps.

I always used to have the cot made with fitted sheet, mattress protector then fitted sheet and mattress protector so I could just whip off the top two layers and the bed would still already be made and I wouldn't have to faff around with making the bed at least once
