15 week old is breastfed and is refusing to feed. hasn’t fed in nearly 4 hours which is very very unlike her. she’s the type of baby who won’t go longer than 2 hours without a feed.

tried a bottle of expressed and she refused that too. literally is just screaming everytime and it’s really worrying me. no idea what to do.

she’s crying loads tonight, no idea what’s wrong. eventually have got in the bath with her to see if skin to skin will help and she just cried herself to sleep on me.

any advice please :/

It's not too early for a first tooth to be cutting.
Keep an eye on her nappy output for signs of dehydration.
Might she dream feed?

Difficult one... it may be that she just wants to sleep (after a while they go longer stretches, how does she sleep and feed at night?). It may be cramp/air. It may be ilness, any sign of fever? Or a bunged up nose?
In any case, if she sleeps and comes for the next feed in a few hours, produces wet nappies, it may be a spurt thing (although normally they tend to eat more during growth spurts).

Possible that she’s teething. Do you have any teething powders you could try? My DS had a similar feed refusal/crying the day before his first tooth came through. He was almost 5 months old, so about a month older than your DD.

Does she seem unwell at all? Or in any pain, teeth/reflux/wind

Could be the sign of not feeling well. May be she's got tummy ache or feeling gasy. Like others said watch the nappies to make sure she's not dehydrated. She might be more interested in feeding after a sleep. At 15 weeks she might be going longer between feeds. 'My baby week by week' book was my go to guide on what happens when.

Not sure if this is helpful, but my baby is 16 weeks and has had similar behaviour over the last week and my friend's baby who is a similar age is the same. He usually has a big appetite but has started not wanting much milk at feeds and has quick feeds, but not really more frequent so doesn't really feel like cluster feeding or anything. He seems to only want the left breast for about 2 minutes before he latches off and loses interest, he feeds a bit longer on the right side which has always been his favourite but after not too long he'll unlatch and if I try and latch him back on he'll scream. Seems to be more noticeable in the day though, overnight feeds still seem a lot shorter but also less fussy and he'll just fall asleep when he's finished suckling. He always seems content though and satisfied with the amount of milk he's had, he's not crying or screaming after and has plenty of wet nappies. My instincts are telling me he's absolutely fine and it's a normal part of his current development/leap.

This sounds very stressful I’m sorry. I’ve had similar before with my EBF DD and for me what worked was walking around with her mouth to my nipple. The jogging motion somehow encouraged her to latch as she seemed to feel the need to hold on. It was hard to do but worked and after a couple of mins she soothed and I then sat down. Worth a try? Also baby might be really overtired in which case you might try rocking to sleep and then putting to the breast when calm? Just things that have worked for me so I appreciate may not work for your baby! Good luck. Obviously if it persists maybe worth thinking if there may be a medical issue (think not feeding can be a sign of some illnesses)
