Sleeping bag with legs advice

We are taking the side off our sons cot soon as he prefers sleeping in an open space and has always hated the enclosed cot so worth a go. I’m thinking this may mean we need to change sleeping bags so that he doesn’t trip up if he gets out?

If so does anyone have any recommendations on sleeping bags with legs instead, he wears a 1 tog as his room is always on the warmer side and at the minute wears just a T-shirt and nappy under his current sleeping bag. Would you always have them in just a top since the sleeping bag will act as trousers?

Thank you! Smile

And fwiw, mine is current in a 1.0 tog with long sleeve pyjamas. I generally follow the grobag sleep chart for the room temp.

We used JoJos sleep snugglers, less baggy than the slumbersac.

Mine wore fleece sleepsuits with feet (had little sticky pads on feet) from about 6 months. Just added blankets if it was cold

Thank you for all the responses they all look great and I’ll have a little look tonight and buy one for him to try! Smile X

Another vote for Slumbersac. They are great - we have several for our toddler.

The Grobag (now Tommy tippee I think) ones are pretty good, we always use a long-sleeved top of some sort as you say, usually thin cotton pyjamas with the lighter tog bag if it's borderline. I like the flexibility with the Grobag ones that you can have feet out, just toes out, or all covered up.
