New born and 19 month old without double pram?

Can you have 2 under 2 without the need for a double pram? If so how do you do it? I really don't want to have to buy another double pram.

Have 2 under 2. Bought a double pram but have used it only 2 or 3 times. I have newborn in sling and toddler in pushchair majority of the time. Newborn doesn't like pram at the moment. Perhaps I'll use the double more when she's a bit older. I'd see how you get on first before you buy one.

My age gap is 27 months and I wouldn't want to live without the double buggy at the moment, the Baby is 9 weeks old. I carry the baby in the sling as well but a double buggy is handy. I got mine for £100 second hand as bought a £1300 travel system for my DS1 x

Hard to say, some people say their baby does not like a buggy (not sure about this, mine never had an option). I have a 20mo and a 3mo. I use sling for 3mo if needed and single pushchair for the older, but it reclines almost flat and I tend to put the little one in it and older on buggy board when situation allows (and when my back gives up which is more often than I like). I even put them both in the pram (small lying, older one sitting at the edge). Works as well for emergencies.

If you have a car, I think you may be OK. I opted for single and sling as I don't have a car and use public transport daily and it was hell enough to use single pram, let alone try and bus with a double.

I had 22 months and couldn't have been without my double. We were out for hours everyday and being able to get them napping at the same time e with my hnds free was brilliant. I'm a big sling fan too but it was nice to be able to have some time without someone attached to me.

I had a Mountain Buggy Duet which fitted easily on all sizes of buses.

Oh good god, yes you need one! I had a two year age gap and it was a god send. I had a csection, a big baby and a bad back, no way I was using a sling.

2 year age gap and we coped fine without a double buggy. We lived in a city where the pavements were just not suitable for a side by side so I never considered it. Double deckers looked unwieldy to me so I didn't bother. This was a while ago, they are probably better now!

DD went in a maxi cosi carrier until she was big enough to go in the buggy. DS had a buggy board or walked after that.
Now and again we would go on a longer walk with both parents so we had a second single buggy for that.
I never missed a double buggy as it was so much easier to get on public transport with a single.
