How to entertain a 15 month old?!

I’m a SAHM to a lovely 15 month old boy. Now he’s napping less (down to one nap per day) I’m running out of ideas to keep him occupied during the day!

We tend to stay at home in the mornings and play with toys. Today he’s been through all of his toys already, we’ve tried colouring but he was more interested in eating the paper TBH.

In the afternoon I tend to take him for a long walk in the pram, sometimes stopping off at the park or other times meeting friends for coffee. We do a baby/toddler class once a week too.

He’s not mobile yet (still not walking and only bum shuffling) and isn’t with a childminder or in nursery as we don’t have the spare cash at the moment.

What toys do your 15 month olds enjoy and what other activities can I do with him to keep him occupied? I’m really worried he’s bored!

Having a bath can take a lot of time, use tons of toys

Tupperware

Park/beach/grass for him to roll around on

Does it get easier to entertain them when they start walking then? I really hope so!!

LOL, yeah, but then you have to run after them which is exhausting!

Also, water play outside if warm I. E bucket and spade etc.

Yeah it does get easier in some ways. A walk in the park certainly takes longer when they are off investigating!

We have a running water toy sink which entertains DS for around 15mins- our best purchase! I filled a low kitchen cupboard with plastic Tupperware that DS raids daily. I put cereal, dry pasta in some of the tubs which DS opens and transfers to other tubs.

It’s hard atm as most toddler groups and library classes aren’t open. Round here, classes are open but they are £10/30 mins and for us it’s too expensive to do a few of those per week

So I tried Playdoh - DS just shoved a load straight into his mouth and I panicked, as it's clearly a choking hazard. It also says it's not meant to be eaten.

That's the thing, DS just puts everything in his mouth and nothing holds his attention for longer than a couple of minutes. He then starts shouting, presumably because he's bored. Is that normal?! It's exhausting.
