Classic restored silver cross

minimoomoos · 06/07/2021 10:39

Money was no object for me and I bought the bugaboo donkey...I used it for all of my dc so I got my ££ worth imo.

thismeansnothing · 06/07/2021 10:45

My icandy peach that I currently have. It's the second icandy I've had. DD is 2 and I use it every day and it's suits us just fine that I wouldn't buy any thing difference

Also iCandy Peach, about £1000 including carseat but used it multiple times per day for about 14 months and now my nephew is using it.

LakeShoreD · 06/07/2021 11:02

I’m pleased that people like the iCandy Peach. I spent £1000 on one and think it’s terrible but I was stupidly wowed by styling and didn’t think at all about whether it fits with our lifestyle or how long the seat would actually last a tall toddler. If I was going to buy a big pram again I would totally go for the uppababy vista because it has proper tires and a one piece fold but can’t really justify it given it would only be for occasional use. I really love our YoYo and it’s been in constant use for 4+ years and 2 children. Pre covid we did a lot of travel so it’s great you can take it as a carry on, we live in a city so it’s super practical for public transport and carrying up stairs because it’s teeny and weighs nothing. The best tip I can give you is to really think about your lifestyle and what you practically need. One persons dream pram is a costly mistake for another!

Money wasn't really an issue for us and we got the Bugaboo Fox2 and love it!

Sparechange · 06/07/2021 11:27

Bugaboo Fox

I had the Chameleon and loved it, but it was a bit fiddly to tip the seat back to lie-flat

The Fox has kept all the excellent aspects of the Chameleon and sorted the tip back mechanism so it’s is basically the perfect pram

The ones I got, a Maxis Cosi Adorra travel system and just recently a second hand Phil and Ted's double. I resent paying a higher price to cover the marketing budget for a snazzy website and so on for everything in life when something half the price wil do what I need just as well, but I totally accept I'm in the minority on that 😂

If I could have my time again I might possibly have gone for a single travel system that could become a double later (which in fairness would likely have meant an iCandy as the market isn't massive for this job!) but I'm hoping what I've got now will be fine...

Money wasn’t an issue for us (in laws paid and said chose whatever). We went for the bugaboo fox 2 and love it. It pushes like a dream, turns pretty much on the spot, is incredibly easy to fold, has a hood that goes all the way down for napping and has a massive basket.

I think it fully depends what your lifestyle is like though? Our house backs onto a massive city park with lots of tracks and off path walks and trees. A pushchair that could handle this terrain was what we wanted. It’s not a pretty buggy though like some are. We also have a second hand bugaboo bee now DS is older for nipping to the shops as the fox is quite big. Think about your lifestyle and what fits with it would be my suggestion x

Whathefisgoingon · 06/07/2021 21:20

We went for the Bugaboo Chameleon. Used daily for long walks for over a year now!

switswoo81 · 06/07/2021 22:02

Parents paid for bugaboo chameleon. Used for just under 3 years then put a buggy board on it and used for second DC for 3 more years just finishing up with it now.
Still looks perfect except for a slightly faded hood, never bought a stroller or another pram. Has been a dream buggy.
Will sell it for a couple of hundred euros soon.

FlowerTink · 06/07/2021 22:04

I have a Silver Cross that I love, but I've heard lots of positive reviews of Bugaboo

TheArtfulCodger · 06/07/2021 22:17

We paid for our granddaughter's pram (1k) - my daughter and her DH chose the icandy peach. I think it's awful (daughter was laid up here wait for an operation and then recuperating, so I was using the pram to walk granddaughter every day for 10 weeks). It's so heavy and cumbersome, I hate the handle it's really thick, I hated lugging it in and out of my house, it's so heavy. It traps autumn leaves under the wheel mudguards (we regularly had to find a stick to poke them out so the wheels would turn), the parasol is a piece of crap. I just hate it! Thanks for the opportunity to get it off my chest though as I can't tell my daughter 😄 The prams we had for our DC were so simple, pretty and reasonably priced. I hate these big, ugly, expensive, lumbering prams parents have today.

Cornflour80 · 20/03/2022 04:06

We have a Bugaboo Fox2 and love it. It's also really nice to change the colour hoods in the summer

shangelawasrobbed · 20/03/2022 04:20

We have the Uppababy Cruz 2 and this is definitely the pram I would choose again (or possibly the Uppababy Vista if I thought I'd need a double buggy at any point rather than just a buggy board on a single). Pricy but so worth it - it's the one baby-related purchase I've been most pleased with.

LexieLoos · 20/03/2022 06:24

We had the Mamas & Papas Ocarro, with the carrycot for when DD was tiny, and I loved it - I'd definitely choose that again 🥰

Same!

Money not an issue when we bought and we got an Egg in Regal Navy. Never regretted it!

grosgirl · 20/03/2022 18:07

Should add it was pricey. Upwards of £1200 with accessories.

IWasFunBeforeMum · 20/03/2022 18:10

Something classic NOT a trendy brand that some dumbass off TOWIE has "designed". Silver Cross would be my choice.

BertieBotts · 20/03/2022 18:16

Bugaboo Donkey or something by Uppababy.

But the best pram I had by far was the Bebeconfort Loola Up. Not made any more (it was from about 2006). They got bought out by Maxi Cosi and I was still really impressed by the Maxi Cosi prams - maybe they had the former Bebeconfort staff designing them. I didn't look closely enough into them this time because I found something I wanted second hand, but I kind of wish I had.

NorthernWanker · 20/03/2022 18:27

Surprised it's not already been mentioned but the all black cybex priam. Best thing we ever bought. With the cloud z car seat made life soooo much easier being able to leave him in it for as long as needed (when not in the car)

Timeturnerplease · 20/03/2022 19:51

Same as we have now - City Mini GT, though I would splash out on a lie flat car seat with adaptors to put on the frame for the first 6 months. Neither of mine tolerated a carrycot.

The GT is the toughest buggy I’ve ever come across, and so so easy to fold etc.
