Quick question
DS 18 months, still likes to use the soother, why is that even though he is a toddler?
Is it to soon to wean him off it?
Why are toddlers fond of a dummy?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sucking brings comfort:
The nhs says dummies should go by. 12 months as they cause problems with teeth and speech. At the very least he shouldn’t have it when he is awake

My eldest had one, didn't use it all the time, only to soothe, but liked to know it was around - "Dum dum".

A bad cold changed everything, she couldn't breathe through her nose. She threw it across the room and it landed behind the radiator - where it stayed for posterity. Dum dum was redundant and never again thought of.
