Nappies over size 7

Hi, my son is in size 7 nappies from pampers. And he's just turned 2. I'm a bit worried about what happens if these get small? I haven't seen any bigger than this size? Do they exist?

Also- anyone had trouble finding size 7's, they seem like gold dust in the shops. Always missing from my weekly shop as not in stock. But only pampers seem to do a size 7, so can't even try other brands. 🤦🏻‍♀️

My almost 6 year old only wears a size 6 pull up for bed...he only moved to a 6 this year.
Is your son average size?
And what do you mean they didn't fit? Like you physically can't get them out or they leak quickly?

I use Pura nappies (ordered via their own website with free next day delivery). They go up to a size 6, but i find their sizing generous. My DC is a big tall 18 months and comfortable in a size 4. You can order a sample pack for 3.50 to try out.

My son is 2 years and 9 months. He is 95 percentile for height and slightly lower for weight. He has just outgrown size 7 nappies after about 10 months in that size. Pampers baby dry have a size 8 so he has just moved into these. I found them in Tesco but it might be they are only on sale in the bigger stores. Also, the nappy pants in size 7 are a similar size to nappies in size 8. I'm potty training when we reach the summer hols but I reckon the size 8 would last a good few months before he grows out of them. His growth rate is thankfully slowing down.

I forgot to say that I think you can order them from boots too.

Pampers do size 8 nappies. I normally found them in the major supermarkets but think Tesco’s didn’t have them. If you can’t find them, huggies pull up pants 2-4 fit very well on my large 3 year olds. They do ones for day and night, and can be bought on amazon prime.

Cleverpolly3 · 01/07/2021 18:52

I found the flo and Fred rascal pull-ups from tesco good and their biggest size seemed to have a bit more stretch than a pampers size 7

Just to outdo you all, my 11yr old wears size 6 ones. True story

Aldi do nappy pants in a size 7, very good value. We put DS, in these during then size 7 pampers nappies at night, works well for us money wise

Pikachusbutt · 01/07/2021 18:55

Pull ups.

My DS1 was a big lad and when he was younger Pampers only did up to a size 6. They did do the nappy pants, that seemed to be a bit bigger.

But by 2 and a half he was in pull ups. The night time ones are more absorbant.

Pampers babydry size 8 used to be fairly easy to find - I bought them from Asda, Sainsbury’s and Amazon, but that was some years ago. We then moved onto Libero nappies from the continence service.

Kcoffecakebubs · 01/07/2021 19:05

Thanks everyone, I'm hoping he'll slow down soon and it won't be an issue, but just thought about it today! Is it the nappy pants they do in a size 8, or just taped nappies? He undoes those so we can't use them! 🤦🏻‍♀️

He is big for his age, he's 18kg now, over the top centile line, but has been for as long as I can remember. He's in 3-4 or 4-5 clothes and over the 98th for height too so in proportion- just a little giant!

I didn't realise Aldi did nappy pants in a 7, might give them a try too.

Appreciate the help

The ones we used were nappies with the sticky tape bits.

Shutupandsitdown · 01/07/2021 19:20

Sainsbury’s own have a very stretchy back. They only go up to size 6 but stretched a good way.
Also, try putting the nappy on back to front? It should make it harder to get them off? Might only work for a few days though til he works it out?

Granohlaa · 01/07/2021 19:23

My 3 year old wears Aldi size 7 nappy pants at night. I often have to go to a few different Aldi’s to find them & rifle through the 6s to find one pack!

They’re a hell of a lot cheaper than dry nights and huggies pull ups.

CatWithKittens · 02/07/2021 11:38

We've always used cloth but my sister swears by Tesco Junior + for her quite big 9 year old who is still wet at night.
