my little boy, Alfie, is due in 18 days! and I haven’t made my mind up if i’m going to breast feed or bottle feed but I have decided to also pump if i breast feed so my partner and family members can give him a bottle.

I was just wondering, if I choose to breast feed and Alfie’s dad was to take him out for a day without me because I’m also in university, how would he feed him a bottle of breast milk when they’re out and about? obviously at home he can take it from the fridge or freezer and warm it up but I don’t want them to be trapped at home all day if i don’t want to go out or if i can’t go.

You can leave it out of the fridge for a few hours. Baby may take it at room temperature, or you can pack a thermos of hot water and stand the bottle in a cup of hot water to warm it up.

Breastmilk can be at room temperature for 6 hours. So he can just take it out of the fridge and put in the bag and it will warm to room temp in time for the feed.

Tommee Tippee Travel Food Warmer https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002L3TEN8?ref=ppxpoppmobappshare

Breast milk can be warmed up after taking it out the fridge hun. I'd recommend the tommee tippee travel bottle warmer above. The water stays hot for hours ! Infact, I've accidentally left it in the car overnight and the following day when I've emptied it it's still warm xx
