Is it normal for my toddler to end up red in the face with wet with sweat hair after an hour of soft play or running around?

Mt toddler almost 3 always gets so sweaty to the point of his face is bright red and his hair is soaked through no matter what he wears he still gets this sweaty.

Totally normal.

My eldest was always the red-faced one at nursery. All the other kids looked fine, mine was always like a tomato! I think there's a range of normal. I would think your child is probably just at the sweaty end of normal! But if you're concerned, why not bring it up with your health visitor, or try for a quick phone chat with your GP?

Both of mine (DD7 & DS2) always end up being the sweaty ones too! I took them to soft play a couple of weeks ago, and after an hour they were both tomato red and soaked. It was fully air conditioned and the windows were open. My DD had her hair tied in a plait and it was still wet when I undid it later that evening Envy

Are you prone to sweating? Or his Dad? I'm not particularly but DH is and I think that's where they get it from.

My DS is like that too OP, he was always the sweaty one who looked like a beetroot at soft play. Totally normal.

There's always a few like this. My DS and one of his female DF's get v hot and sweaty. My DD looks as cool as a cucumber despite any physical exertion - lucky her!
