Sick when teething

10 month old baby, cut two teeth a few weeks ago and while they were cutting she was sick every night once we had put her to bed, she refuses milk all day and then drinks her bedtime one but then half an hour or so later wakes up being sick. She's started again so I think her top teeth are on their way.
She eats well and drinks water all day so I'm not too worried as she's not hungry or thirsty but I'm looking for advice on the bedtime bottle. Anyone experienced this and how did you get around it? I'm reluctant not to give her it as it's the only one she's having all day but it's hard to keep up with the washing!
I'm going to call HV tomorrow but curious on other mums experience. Thanks for any advice x

Poor little love. What have you tried so far to manage the pain?

BabyB19 · 17/06/2021 20:49

Thanks @BunnyRuddington pain wise we're doing ok I find anbesol and paracetamol is enough it's just the sick honestly i can't keep up she's sick so much after that bottle but I just don't want to stop it. She's never loved her milk tbh and is good with food but i still want to get some down her x

I'd try her with some ibruprofen instead of paracetamol, it's much better for dental pain. Try her with things like cook chunks of cucumber, frozen bananas or a cool, clean, wet flannel to chew on.

I think that taking to the HV is a good idea though too Thanks

DD1 used to do this at 3 am the night before a new tooth. It wasn’t with everyone tooth.

Thanks @BunnyRuddington it's not pain I'm concerned with though, the pain is being managed it's the vomiting I'm trying to figure out.
Was that after a milk feed @Fitforforty ?

Sorry, was just thinking if the pain was managed in the day, she might take more milk in the day and not so much at the last feed and then might not be sick. Probably didn't explain myself Blush

BabyB19 · 17/06/2021 21:49

@BunnyRuddington no I'm grateful for any advice honestly. She hasn't had much milk through the day for a while now she's just not really fussed on it, the bedtime one though she does like which is why I'm hesitant to stop giving her it x

Nope. Always between 3 and 4 in the morning. It was mostly between the ages of 1 and 2 yrs when she nolonger had any milk over night.
