Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, wasn't sure where to post!

We have a daughter and are looking to start our journey again for a second. We live in a 3 bedroom with 2 decent sized rooms and a box room. Box room currently a dressing room.

My question is whether we move the toddler into the box room and keep the larger room as a nursery or whether the new nursery is the box room? For context, the nursery was the larger room with our 1st as I couldn't possibly fathom how the furniture would all fit in the box room( on reflection, it definitely will, without the space for a nursing chair, which we did use ALOT with DD1). I feel like I've answered my own question but with the addition of toys etc I feel bad moving the toddler into a smaller space, on top of all the other changes that will occur!

Toddlers don’t play in their rooms though so realistically it’s fine. Again that being said babies only sleep there as well and don’t really need much other than a cot and chest of drawers. Toddler probably has more toys that need storage? Where will they go?

I wouldn’t feel guilty with either to be honest. My DS is six and rarely plays in his bedroom! DD is in the box toom and she’s just got a cot chest of drawers and an IKEA shelf thing

I would put baby in the room that can accommodate a nursery chair if it were me because they’re so helpful for night feedings and settling baby when they get heavy!

Toddler in box room
Baby in larger room so there is room for a nursing chair
When baby is big enough for a toddler bed and you don't need a changing table or nursing chair anymore, bring older one into the bigger room so they share - eliminate chances for conflict when they're older ("why do THEY get the bigger room?! It's unfair!"). Box room can be a store room (for toys or clothes) or office then, if either of you do work from home.

Plus if you end up with an unexpected third later in life you won't have to move (they can go in the box room).
