Looks like she’ll be making her first visit here soon, and I assume things have moved on from the 50p I remember getting!

Mine get 2 quid.

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 06/06/2021 09:01

I pay £1 for incisors and £5 for everything else unless in poor condition (one of my DS's molars was decayed Blush).

I don't know why I decided on those amounts.

1 pound a tooth in my house. I always aim for a nice shiny coin. I am told the tooth fairy leaves whatever coin is available at Daddy's house; DS was a bit put out by the time the tooth fairy left 20p.

My last go, I snuck into DDs room at 3am (I'd forgotten). When my hand was under her pillow, she grabbed me, sat bolt upright and said "why do you want my toothies mama?" - it was very startling! I'm not sure whether to carry it on now they clearly know I'm the fairy...

Weren't you cleaning them for the fairies?

£1 per tooth.

Ilovewillow · 06/06/2021 09:09

Oh dear I feel I may be short changing my children - we do £1 but in my defence it stems from when my eldest was little and she's now 13!

jaundicedoutlook · 06/06/2021 09:14

£2 for a nice tooth. DH told both DDs that if it was dirty the tooth fairy would use it to decorate her lavatory and only pay 50p.

Eachpeachpears · 06/06/2021 09:19

£2 for the 1st and £1 for the rest. Although I feel cash might die out by the time my kids get to that stage and I anticipate the tooth fairy might bank transfer or something

piglet81 · 06/06/2021 09:21

Yeah, I wonder when the fairy will go cashless like the rest of society Grin Will source a suitably shiny coin for now!

£1

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 06/06/2021 09:34

£1 a tooth.
On the final visit a lovely letter from the tooth fairy was also left detailing some of the visits over the years etc etc and saying a fond farewell.
I may have gone overboard with some aspects of parenting Grin but in my defence my dc (19) still has the letter and I know it made/makes her smile.

I am already struggling with lack of cash, our tooth fairy has been known to "borrow" £1 from a piggy bank to put under the owner's pillow... 😳

Findahouse21 · 06/06/2021 09:37

£5 for the first and £2 for subsequent

Chelyanne · 06/06/2021 11:43

£1 per tooth max.

Though our kids aren't that bothered. They will pop a tooth in a pot in the kitchen then forget to check if the tooth fairy has been to swap it for a coin. We had a little knitted elf with a satchel to put ours in as kids.

butterfly990 · 06/06/2021 12:00

We have the apprentice fairy here. She sometimes forgets to visit or "visits" after my child has woken up. She quite often loses the tooth.

On her first visit she left £2 a new toothbrush and toothpaste.

Minesril · 06/06/2021 19:26

About £1.50, apart from the time DS had to have the tooth taken out at the dentist. There was lego on that one occasion. Trouble is the tooth fairy couldn't carry it as it was too heavy (she's not used to this sort of thing) so she left a note to say it would be in the post later that day Grin

Soubriquet · 06/06/2021 19:28

£2 for the first tooth
£1 for every tooth after that

OnTheSeaShore · 06/06/2021 19:28

If it's been an easy drop it's £1, but if it's wiggled and wobbled for ages and caused distress it's £2

Soubriquet · 06/06/2021 19:29

I tell the kids that the tooth fairy puts the money on their go henry cos of COVID Grin

CatCup · 06/06/2021 19:29

£1 a tooth.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 06/06/2021 19:31

£1 a tooth, as shiny a coin as we can manage. Last one was complicated as the delightful little know it all in her class had told her the tooth fairy isn't real so she also got a letter written on tissue paper in the tiniest possible handwriting.

Nutrigrainygoodness · 06/06/2021 19:32

The tooth fairy me once left dd a note, saying sorry she had run out of cash as she'd had a mare of a day and your mum will transfer you £5 to your Go Henry as a way of an apology.
I was absolutely outraged at her, could not believe it. Dd thought it was great.

JennyinWales · 06/06/2021 21:34

£1 for sure!

pheasantlysuprised · 07/06/2021 10:49

£1 in our house.

Ds's dad leaves £10 when he loses them at his house. I refuse to price match so I'm fairly sure he pulls wiggly teeth out intentionally at his dads as he's only lost one here and about 7 at his dads.
