Hi guys. So, I have a 2 month old baby and my bedroom temperature at night has been fluctuating between 22 and 24 degrees according to the room thermometer, even with the window open. Now, every single website I've been on says above 20 degrees baby should be in a babygro and a 1 tog sleeping bag. A couple of nights where the temperature has been 22 or above I left my baby in just a short sleeve babygro in the sleeping bag and both times I couldn't get him to settle in the cot. It just seemed really odd and he would be fine if he was on me or next to me or feeding but would start going hysterical within a few minutes of putting him down. Was looking at him and his body language, he was bringing his arms together with clenched fists and looked uncomfortable, my instincts were telling me he must be cold so both times I put a sleep suit on him to see what happens and both times he then settled in the cot immediately.
My question is, if that's what keeps my baby warm do I just go with it and ignore what the Internet says my baby should be wearing? His skin didn't feel hot or anything. I've probably answered my own question but I guess I just want some reassurance. I'm a first time mum and all the safe sleeping/SID stuff is getting to my head I think!
Thanks in advance!
