Cooled boiled water to 4 month old?

Hi, the NHS website says if a baby is formula fed under 6 months you can give cooled boiled water in between feeds if the weather is hot. Does anyone do this? How hot is it before you would consider this and how much do you give?! As weather in UK turning to 20-24 is this classed as hot and I should give water in addition to formula?

No, temperatures in the low 20s are not especially hot, and you don't need to give water in addition to milk.

I thought it was 6 months?

Pressed send too soon.....no I wouldn’t say that was hot enough, you don’t need to give extra water.

I did give my 5.5 month old some water yesterday but tbh she only got a few sips. It’s really more to get her used to a cup. As long as your baby is still having plenty wet nappies I wouldn’t be worried

Thanks everyone! I guess we don't see much warm weather so 20s seems hot lol! @FelicityPike yeah I thought six months too but nhs says you can below 6 months if formula fed in hot weather!

I gave both my daughters cold boiled water around that age in a 360 cup.
