Is 7 month old taking 10 minutes to drink 8 ounces too quick?

With a size 2 teat my baby can take up to an hour to have 8 ounces with constant stopping and starting. With a size 3 teat they down it in just under 10 minutes and gulp very fast. So if I was doing 5 ounces they would finish it in around 5 minutes which is very quick. Does this sound ok or is it too fast? Im using MAM teats and bottles

That sounds perfectly fine to me. An hour is far far to long for one bottle they probable stop and start as it’s so slow and tiring. So the size 2 is to small and they need size 3.

My DD finishes 6oz in less than 5 minutes. If your baby isn’t being sick afterwards, exceptional windy, coughing or dribbling milk out during feeding then I’m sure it’s fine. Could try paced feeding?

I had the same shock when we tried size 3 Mam teats.

He cries a bit sometimes in a ‘where’s my milk gone’ way but then when his brain catches up with his full stomach he’s fine.

Absolutely fine. An hour is far too long in my experience. Both of mine were quick feeders though - they could drink that much in ten minutes at the age and probably earlier, but I appreciate others might think it’s fast.
