Hi, first time mum here to 4 month old daughter and curious to know what other parents’ favourite ages and stages of the first year or two were? We’ve had some lovely weeks so far and some where I’ve felt like I’m hanging by a thread! Would love to know some of the phases to look forward to and why you enjoyed them, especially as we’ve hit another whingy week this week!

With my DTs I found 4.5-6months magical and really felt like I had this parenting lark sussed. Then we started weaning and I was back to square 1.

12-18 months was pretty great too, they were toddling around, still had a couple of naps but were happy and chilled.

They’re now 3 1/4 and it’s been varying degrees of hell since that 18m. They are of course wonderful children and I love them more than I can describe but they’re extremely full on and full of opinions and independent little thoughts. Absolutely hilarious at times, but exhausting!
