Baby not sleeping after cold

Our baby boy is nearly 11 months old, and was waking once in the night after a rough start (an undiagnosed milk allergy followed by sleep regression which messed up his sleep completely).
We noticed he was developing a cold around a week ago and over the weekend it threw his night sleep and naps completely off (which he used to go down perfectly for). Obviously we have been giving him all the tlc he needs, but a week later we're not sure if things will go back to normal themselves or if we need to sleep train.

How long does it usually take for babies to get better after a cold? And will he just fall back into his old routine? We don't want to be sleep training if he could still be feeling unwell despite no longer being completely snotty - we're completely exhausted!

Thanks in advance!

I would say it can take 2-3 weeks after symptoms go away. But realistically, babies don't just magically sleep how you want them to and there will be loads of reasons for disrupted sleep in the next few years. I wouldn't be quick to sleep train every time. I'd just ride it out. It does always get better again eventually.

My LO has just recovered after a cold, I’d say 2 weeks and he was perfectly clear.
Whilst not as young as yours he’s back into his routine.
Just follow his guide whilst he’s unwell for his sleep cues. And same again once he’s fit and well.
I wouldn’t put pressure on yourself to snap straight back into it, give it a couple of days once better and see what he’s like.
