Help!
My daughter turned 3 on Monday and my little boy is 5 on Friday, so Saturday we’re having a birthday party for them both.
What do you even do at a kids party? This is the first we’ve really had with people other than family.
They have three friends each coming so we’ll have kids ranging from 2-6 and obviously boys and girls.
I want games that everyone can do and I just can’t think how I’m going to occupy these children for 3 hours!!
Do parents generally leave and come back or will they hover?
I’m genuinely so incredibly nervous, I want to be sick.

At that age parents will stay, I'd do pass the parcel, musical statues and order a bouncy castle - they're about £80 to hire for a day

Food - just do the usual buffet stuff of sandwiches, crisps, veg sticks, fruit, crackers, biscuits and birthday cake.

Party bags, buy 10 for £10 books at The Works and do those instead of plastic tat. Maybe blow up a few balloons and pop a Disney music playlist on - you'll be good to go

Balloons and bubbles will entertain everyone for a while!
Simple party games - pass the parcel, musical statues.
Building a den is always fun, indoors or outdoors.
I find that if I put out a small selection of toys then that helps prevent every single toy in the house being spread out across the floor!
Party food - getting the children to decorate biscuits or fairy cakes.
Cross your fingers for sun so that they can spend some time in the garden!

It will be mad, and your house will be a mess, but the kids will have fun!
