Pram and Central Line

Little one is 7months. I’d like to take her up to Bond Street - I would like to just venture out a bit more with her as things are changing and she hasn’t been out and about apart from locally.
Realistically can I do it on my own? My local
Station is on the central and step free - is there a way of getting into Oxford street/bond street without huge hassle with steps?
Are there lifts at Bond Street or have I imagined this?

I have definitely used Bond Street with my pram.

Have a look at the tube map - the step free stations are marked with a wheelchair symbol

I always put mine in the sling when getting on the tube, soooo much easier. But the few times I haven't, either someone has helped me with the buggy or I just carry it up the stairs. Heavy but doable!

We have a Bugbaboo Fox 2 which is amazing but not the lightest and unfortunately there’s no way she’ll be ok in a sling for the whole time she’s not too keen on it anymore unfortunately

Second vote for a sling, if not then just plan ahead by checking the tfl website for station info. Good luck, the two times i've taken the pram into london it was an eye opener how bad access is not just on the tube but shops and attractions.

I don't think there's step free access at Bond Street but when DC was a baby I used to take the tube a fair bit. There was always someone who'd offer to help me carry the pram up the stairs.

Yes it has lifts:

You can also use the TFL journey planner and use the edit my journey/preferences to indicate if you want step free access etc.

I feel like it has lifts although obviously haven't been there much recently.

It's going to be less of an issue for you if you're just in the tube but give yourself plenty of time. The lifts are all supposed to be one family/person only due to Covid so I've waited AGES at some stations when there have been people who want to stick rigidly to the rules and use a 20+ person lift for just them when we"d be more than 1m apart even in the lift.

You'll likely find that if you start going into town regularly then you'll also buy a travel pushchair. We still use our "main" one that we've had from birth everyday (he's now 2.5) but we also invested in smaller, hand baggage size one for public transport and all of those flights that we thought we'd be going on...
