12 month jabs - should I give Calpol?

My little boy has his 12 month jabs on Tuesday. Am I right in thinking that it’s one needle in each arm and one in each leg, so four in total?

Also, should I give Calpol straight afterwards and then once every four hours after that, even if there are no symptoms?

Is it hard to keep them still during the jabs? I’m dreading it as he will be so much more aware this time.

Finally... is this the last set of jabs they need? Hope so.

My son had his 12 month jabs in March. 2 in each leg, he screamed the place down but it was very quick and he soon got over it. I'm pretty sure the nurse told me to give him calpol straight after so I did.

I gave calpol before all japs so my dd didn’t feel the pain of the needle as much. I gave it for teething as well.

Hi, I'm a little late to the party but my DS had his 12 month innoculations today and the nurse said not to give him calpol after these ones (unless a high temperature spike becomes an actual fever) as it can interfere. I decided to look into it this evening and found this thread.

The NHS website now states, "To help reduce the risk of a high temperature, it's recommended you give your baby liquid paracetamol after the MenB vaccine at 8 weeks and 16 weeks old.".
No mention of 1 year olds, so they must have updated their information to correspond with more recent research.

Just for anyone else that finds themselves here with questions :)
