Tired mum wants to work full time

I have 3 year old twins and they are hard work. I've decided to go back to work full time as it feels much easier. I feel like such a bad mum saying this but they are constant.

I don't think my mil understands as she was shocked when I said I was going back to work full time. She keeps making me feel guilty by saying that my ds misses me when he's away from me all day. Also that nursery could be cruel to them and I wouldn't know. 😖💔

I said nothing could be harder than lockdown, work wise. I feel like I've had enough and just want life to be a little easier for a while. I love my children and was just hoping for some understanding on here.

They can tell you aged 3 if there's anything wrong. It's round about the age they like the activities and friends that nursery can provide.

You're mum in law sounds like a cow.

I have a 3 and 4 year old and the 3 year old is at nursery 2 days a week and 4 year old 3 days a week.

They absolutely love their nursery.

I work 1 day a week.

You are amazing coping with twins!

Thanks everyone. Our nursery has been a godsend. She's not a bad woman, she must think I don't have these anxieties. I think it boils down to ignorance regarding how much work there is on a daily basis and also how hard it was during lockdown. I'm a shell. I need to be me again to be there for my kids.

I have 3 month old twins - I'm the main earner and my enhanced maternity leave is rubbish - I have to go back when they are 5 months old.

Ive found what looks like a lovely childminder - ofsted accredited etc. My mother thinks it's cruel but I ignore her. She doesn't have my mortgage to pay - I said she could help us with childcare if she was so dead against a nursery/childminder - funnily enough she's not mentioned it since 🤔

Do what feels right for you x

@MuchTooTired my twins were exactly the same at their first day of nursery. They didn't look back 😂.
