He has 5 meals a day. Im not sure how it happened but he dropped most of his milk feeds and has 5 meals . An example would be 9am oats , 12pm sweet potatoes mash , 3pm fruit pot or anything , 5 - dinner usually pasta with sauce , rice with stew etc whatever have cooked and then has one weetabix before bed around 8:30-8:45.
Is this too much . He also will have fruits or biscuits as a finger food along side his meal after I feed him. He seems happy and since he's been eating like this he's been crying less but I've always seen other people feed their babies less

I think it will depend on the portions, some babies are just really good eaters and especially if he’s not having a lot of milk you might be about right. There’s a massive difference between a tablespoon of oats and milk though and a full on bowl so I think I’d be looking at the portions and checking he’s getting enough protein to keep him feeling full for a bit longer.

Totally depends on portion sizes. But the variety sounds good. If you are concerned you can ask your health visitor or doctor how much milk they should be drinking and offer that first. The range of how much they eat at that stage is huge so I wouldn't worry what others are doing.

Make sure he having a balanced diet, taking vitamins and getting at least 350mf of calcium a day and he will be fine. This was the advice given to us about a paediatric dietitian when DD1 was this age.
