Present ideas for a 5 year old girl

My daughter turns 5 soon and I'm really struggling with birthday present ideas!

She has asked for a mermaid costume, a microphone (which frankly she doesn't need and might not get 😂) and an outfit for her our generation doll

Struggling for ideas for a main present but don't have to get her one, could stick with smaller gifts. She already has a bike and a scooter and doesn't really need anything. Don't want to spoil her too much and am reluctant to buy too much plastic and tat.

So....those with 5-7 year olds, any ideas for great presents for this age group? What are your children's favourite toys? What do they play with the most?

Thanks :)

My daughter is soon to turn 5 and this is what she is getting from us (no main present)

  • a potions making kit from the den company
  • usbourne musical orchestra the nutcracker book
  • Disney Princess watch (the only thing she's asked for)
  • frozen dolls with extra outfit
  • Minnie mouse delux art kit
  • numberblocks tshirt
  • galt Dinolab

My mum is getting her a karaoke microphone thingy

She really didn't know what she wanted, even after a trip to smyths, but she likes being crafty so I've got her things I'm hoping she will like.

She got an ariel costume from sainsburys for Easter and that was a big hit

Our grandaughter turns 5 next month her mum & dad have bought her a dressing rail and filling it with new dress ups and accesories. She loves dressing up and doesn't fit into any of her bits anymore. A friend has made personalised coat hangers to go with it. www.argos.co.uk/product/8348403?istCompanyId=a74d8886-5df9-4baa-b776-166b3bf9111c&istFeedId=30f62ea9-9626-4cac-97c8-9ff3921f8558&istItemId=ilpqrwtlr&istBid=t&&cmpid=GS001&$ja=tsid:59157%7cacid:844-913-7556%7ccid:9567867118%7cagid:99275631518%7ctid:aud-734784713267:pla-985732394819%7ccrid:423233944930%7cnw:g%7crnd:8160451812434258580%7cdvc:m%7cadp:%7cmt:%7cloc:1006659&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=9567867118&utm_term=8348403&utm_content=shopping&utm_custom1=99275631518&utm_custom2=844-913-7556&gclid=Cj0KCQjws-OEBhCkARIsAPhOkIaFC27AbRxJmt4I_Ai5VhqtSwJmC6f-Rz3X0Uy3fInqiNNTKRIejgaAqEXEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Other ideas:
Yoto player
Garden things, pool, games, kite
Stomp rocket
Rainbow science lab
Things for her our generation doll, matching school uniform (highly reccomend frilly lilly) dolls bed/bunk bed, tent ( entertainer have a fab one down to £10) or any other things that cover her interests.
Camera
Smart watch
Insect lore buttefly kit
Binoculars and bird books.

Its the little bits that seem to be a hit with our almost 5yr old GD. On behalf of my mum who cant get out at the moment ive bought a back pack and filled it with outdoor themed bits. Sunglasses, baseball cap, purse and put £5 in it, an inexpensive digital camera (her vtech one kept failing)and a nice water bottle.

Oh and i forgot the biggest hit has been playmobil, particularly the pre school playground from Argos, the pet hotel and she has on her list a pool set. On my list is the VW campervan!
